Krishnatara is one of India’s largest independent and youth volunteer non-profit organizations.
Krishnatara was founded on August 15, 2006 by a small group of friends with a strong passion to change society today and build a better India for tomorrow. The organization provides youngsters a platform to serve the society and bridges the gap between the educated and the uneducated.
Our volunteers educate and mentor children from orphanages, slum and village community centers across the country to give them a better future, which will benefit them as well as our country. The learning experience is mutual – our volunteers gain perspective and the experience to mould themselves into tomorrow’s leaders.
Krishnapal Singhwho was a freedom fighter sowed the seeds of Krishntara through its volunteers and social workers who are the heart of Krishntara. Krishnapal Singh was also a scholar of Indian literature along with vedas, puranas, bhagwat gita, as well as Bible, Quran and guru granth sahib.He devoted all his life bringing social reforms in the society and was a firm believer that we are here in this world for a purpose and the purpose is to give as much as we can to the world and society around us whether it’s help, love, knowledge or happiness. Universe is playing its part we have to play ours just by helping each other which is the strongest foundation of any nation.
Inspired by him the seed of Krishnatara have now truned out to be a tree which has even stronger roots and branches as its volunteers have proved and assured the best they can with their truly inspiring endeavour and enormous hardwork.
